And if he already transgressed and accepted rechiluth, his amendment is to strengthen himself to remove this thing from his heart and not believe it. And even if it is difficult for him to believe that the speaker invented the whole thing, let him think that he added to or detracted from, some details of the act, or some words of the speech that Ploni attributed to him, or that he related it in a different intonation that turned it from good to bad. And let him accept upon himself for the future never again to accept lashon hara or rechiluth against any Jew, and let him confess his sin. And he will thereby correct the issur that he transgressed if he has not yet told the thing to others.
