‹›
  1. 1

The Rebbe told a number of people to read through the entire Bible during the days of Elul, the Ten Days of Repentance and the Days of Awe until Hoshana Rabbah.348Hoshana Rabbah is the last of the intermediate days of Sukkot, the final day of judgment (Yerushalmi, Rosh HaShanah 4:8; Zohar II, 142a; ibid., III, 32a; Rokeach 221a; Ramban on Numbers 14:9; Sefer Chasidim 453.

  2. 2

The Rebbe himself did this several times. He finished a number of other works during this period, but I don’t remember which ones.
