When a person is in a state of “smallness” regarding his Torah study and service of G-d, when he comes to “days of Largeness,” which is the pleasure of his Torah and service, there is an advantage to the lihgt that is drawn from the power of the time of darkness. Tzafnah Paneach, p. 2b
