410. THE sage observed, There are two blessings which are the rarest in the world, and which become daily still rarer, legitimate means applied to pious purposes, and a trusty friend to rely on.

ואמר אדם אחד לחכם הורני על מי שאשב עמו. אמר לו זאת האבדה לא מצאתי:
411. A man asked the sage to advise him with whom to associate. The sage replied this is a question, to which I can offer no solution.*Vide 247.
