Sifrei Devarim · Chapter 57

‹›
  1. 1

    Pisqa’ 5716H:114; JN1:183.
    1. “When you cross the Jordan to inherit the Land” (Dt.11:31)—
    from your crossing the Jordan,
you should know that you shall inherit the Land.

  2. 2

“Which HASHEM your God is giving you” (Dt.11:31)—
    because you deserve it.

  3. 3

“And you shall inherit it, and settle within it” (Dt.11:31)—
    the reward for inheriting it
is the capacity to settle it.17This common-place repeatedly serves as a cliché. Cf.
