1(דברים יא לא) כִּי אַתֶּם עֹבְרִים אֶת הַיַּרְדֵּן, מֵעֲבִירַתְכֶם אֶת הַיַּרְדֵּן אַתֶּם יוֹדְעִים שֶׁאַתֶּם יוֹרְשִׁים אֶת הָאָרֶץ.(Devarim 11:31) "When you cross the Jordan": When you cross the Jordan, you will know that you will inherit the land.2אֲשֶׁר ה׳ אֱלֹהֵיכֶם נֹתֵן לָכֶם – בִּזְכוּתְכֶם."which the L-rd your G-d gives to you": in your merit.3וִירִשְׁתֶּם אוֹתָהּ וִישַׁבְתֶּם בָּהּ – בִּשְׂכַר שֶׁתִּירַשׁ תֵּשֵׁב."and you will inherit it and you will dwell in it": in reward for inheriting, you will dwell.
