אם חטא חבירך והתרית בו פלוני אל תעשה כן יותר דע כי סופך ללקות ולא ישמע אליך ועבר עבירה תכריז עליו ברבים התריתי בו והוא לא שמע להתראתי:
If your friend sinned and you warned him, “Do not do so anymore and know that you will be punished,” but he did not listen to you and transgressed, announce it then publicly, “I warned him and he did not listen to my warning.”1Maimonides, Hilkhoth Deoth, 6:8.
