There is no difference in the issur of speaking rechiluth as to whether he told him [the whole story] of his own volition or whether his friend understood a little by himself and implored him to tell him what Ploni said before him about him. And even if his father or Rabbi implored him to tell them what Ploni had said about them, and even if it is only the "dust" of rechiluth, in any instance it is forbidden.
אֵין חִלּוּק בְּאִסוּר סִפּוּר רְכִילוּת, בֵּין אִם סִפֵּר לוֹ מֵעַצְּמוֹ בִּרְצוֹנוֹ, וּבֵין אִם חֲבֵרוֹ הֵבִין קְצָּת מֵעַצְמוֹ בַּדָּבָר (י) וְעָמַד עָלָיו וְהִפְצִּירוֹ, שֶׁיְּסַפֵּר לוֹ מַה שֶּׁדִּבֵּר פְּלוֹנִי לְפָנָיו עַל אוֹדוֹתָיו. (יא) וַאֲפִלּוּ אָבִיו אוֹ רַבּוֹ הִפְצִּירוּהוּ שֶׁיְּסַפֵּר לָהֶם, מַה שֶּׁדִּבֵּר פְּלוֹנִי לְפָנָיו עַל אוֹדוֹתָם, וַאֲפִלּוּ אִם הוּא רַק אֲבַק רְכִילוּת, אַף עַל פִּי כֵן בְּכָל גַּוְנֵי {בכל האפנים} אָסוּר.
