ריח שאין לו עיקר כגון שהיו בשמים מונחים בכלי וקלט הכלי את הריח ונשה בו ריח טוב כיון דאין ממשות של בשמים בכלי לא יברך, והוא הדין אם קלטו אצבעותיו ריח טוב דלא יברך:
A fragrance that has no substance, such as when spices were placed in a container and the container absorbed the fragrance, and it has a pleasant scent, since there is no actual substance of the spices in the container, one should not recite a blessing over it. The same applies if one's fingers absorbed a pleasant fragrance; in this case, one should not recite a blessing.
