1א. עַל יְדֵי שׁוֹחֲטִים הֲגוּנִים בְּנֵי אָדָם מְרַחֲמִים זֶה עַל זֶה, וְהוּא הַדִּין לְהֵפֶךְ.When ritual slaughterers are devout, [the meat they provide brings] people to have compassion for one another. The inverse is also the case, [as the meat of ritual slaughterers who are not devout causes people to lack compassion].
