ושם בס' אור החכמה פ' בראשית כתב ג"כ וז"ל, אמר הבעש"ט ז"ל על פסוק כמים הפנים לפנים וכו', דרך משל כשאדם עומד אצל נהר אזי נראה צל של האדם במים, וכשמקטין האדם את עצמו נעשה הצל גם כן קטן, וכשהאדם מקטין הקטנה אחר הקטנה עד שמגיע הפנים שלו אצל המים כן פנים של הצל בא נגד הפנים של האדם, כן הנמשל, לב אדם שמקטין את עצמו נגד חבירו, ואז חבירו מקטין גם כן את עצמו, עד שלב האדם מקטין את עצמו עד שלא יוכל להקטין יותר, כן חבירו עושה ג"כ ונעשו עי"ז רעים דלא מתפרשין, עכ"ל.
