1תְּפִלִּין[א]. עַל־יְדֵי רְצוּעוֹת שֶׁל תְּפִלִּין שׁוֹמְרִים אֶת הָאֱמוּנָה שֶׁלֹּא יִינְקוּ מִמֶּנָּה הַחִיצוֹנִים, וְעַל־יְדֵי זֶה נִשְׁמָר מֹחוֹ וְנִשְׁמָתוֹ וּמְקַבֵּל שֵׂכֶל חָדָשׁ וּנְשָׁמָה חֲדָשָׁה מֵאוֹר הַפָּנִים: (לק"א סי' ל"ה אות ט')TEFILINThe straps of the tefilin are a protection for faith against the parasitic forces of evil.
